CCU OBJECTIVES

The Central Co-operative Union's (CCU) main objectives are to:

*Unite all registered cooperative societies in Swaziland into one co-operative organisation for their common good without impairing their autonomy.

*Carry on the business of retailing, wholesaling, manufacturing, processing and dealing with goods and merchandise of all kinds for the benifit of the member societies.

*Act as an agent for and behalf of any or all its member societies with regard to their business transactions and providing such other services as may be required by member socities.

*Co-operate with other co-operative organisations both nationally and internationally.

*Provide accounting and consultancy services and arrange for audits and supervision of member societies.

*Engage in educational and training aimed at improving the efffiency of member societies.

*Collect and disseminate information relating to particular relevance to co-operative societies and to concern itself with giving publicity to the co-operative movement.

*Arrange for the insurance of member societies by acting as either an insurance agent, broker, company or insurer.
